This is a man who had so much trouble during his career, that he almost had to quit skiing. But after several years of hard work, this season he finally managed to make a breakthrough, and establish himself among the best cross-country skiers in the world. At the World Cup final in Falun, he sprinted into a magical and deserved 3rd place. Athlete of the Month is the “beast” from Tydal, Niklas Dyrhaug.

The past few days, some radical changes has happened here at Skierpost.com. After more than 2 years without publications a brand new pack of young skiers and an old man from China is eager give the website new life. The new pack and the Chinaman wishes to make an amusing, entertaining and interesting website which presents cross-country news from all over the world.

April 2012 - Kristen Skjeldal

Kristen Skjeldal has for years made his mark on the national and international cross-country skiing. The man from Voss in Norway has an impressive list of career highlight with 2 gold and a bronze medal from the Olympics, World Cup victory, and as many as 11 individual Norwegian championship titles. It is no doubt that Skjeldal have earned the title old hero in skierpost.com.
 


April 2012 - Eirik Brandsdal

Athlete of the month march, is this year's norwegian sprint champion, Eirik Brandsdal (25). This youngster has won the sprint championships two years in a row and has already two World Cup victories in his career. His first victory was in  classical technique and the other was in skating, indicating that this versatile skier is a man to be reckoned with in the future.
